After learning the fact that it wasn't just Jadeja who was on the receiving end of Anderson's expletives. In fact James Anderson abused Indian Captain MS Dhoni, a fact corroborated by Anderson's team mate Matt Prior and Umpire Bruce Oxenford. Despite all of these evidences, the ICC decided not to appeal against the verdict.
The incident occurred at Trent Bridge in Nottingham during the lunch break of the second day's play in the first Test between England and India . The Indians alleged that Anderson pushed and abused Jadeja, while England laid a counter-charge against Jadeja.
Confirming that it received and considered the written decision of judicial commissioner in respect of his findings that Anderson and Jadeja were not guilty of breaching the ICC Code of Conduct, following the disciplinary hearing held in Southampton,ICC said it was satisfied with the reasons given for the verdict and decided not to exercise its discretion to appeal against the decision relating to Anderson, pursuant to clause 8.3.2 of the ICC Code of Conduct.
BCCI expressed disappointment with the judicial commissioner's verdict and requested David Richardson(Chief Executive Officer of the ICC) to file an appeal against the verdict but the ICC CEO rejected it.
So now BCCI is pressuring the world governing body to improve and add new clauses to ICC Code of Conduct.
